Richard is disabled due to sustaining a TBI in 2004. However, he is currently the Chair of the Voices Advancing the Brain Injury Community. He is a strong advocate for brain injury awareness and pseudobulbar effect (PBA).
Prior to the TBI, Richard had received a BS degree while attending school at night and was a Bureau Director of the Finance Office of the Human Resource Administration of the City of New York.
